Tree root distribution modelling in different environmental conditions

The ability to predict the spatial distribution of tree root system variables (e.g., Root Area (RA), maximum diameter, number roots in diameter classes, density fine roots, etc.) under different environmental conditions is relevant several scientific disciplines and engineering practice. In this work, three well known analytical models from literature are assembled into a unique framework called Distribution Model (RDM). RDM expected vertical horizontal coarse for mature plants growing ranging moderately humid arid climates. All soil moisture dynamic parameters physically based, which make model straightforward calibrate via single tuning parameter. At investigative stage, it shown that has flexibility represent broad range situations where may result precipitation inputs or water level fluctuations due either presence deep aquifers both. Accordingly, sectional RA be positively negatively skewed, as show peculiar bi-modal structure. can used study impact changing scenarios affecting precipitation, aquifer channel hydrology.
